This is a quite do-able event. Wide path, includes ~all of Empire Grade and Scotts Valley. Karl is just barely north of the high rank northern limit. This event overlaps with the SCAC Star Party at San Vicente Redwoods, where Kirk will be, and probably me as well (and Danika if she's well enough?) a good opportunity to share the stars and learn how to do an asteroid event. RUWE = 1.05, which is good.

Alt=26, Az=255 in the West, in Sextans

I joined the SCAC and Kirk at the San Vicente Redwoods star party, till 10:15pm and then drove south to BD Airstrip. Got 2-star aligned, and then realized after making the charts, that I'd forgotten to photo them on my iPhone. So, no charts, and no cell reception. I got nothing. My own fumble.

I got a 0.3s event for Lindsay, 4x at San Vincente Redwoods, Saturday June 6. It was windy, but I set up behind the toilets to minimize gusts. There were significant dips due to wind in all stars, so I trimmed out the largest dips around predicted time then normalized on a tracking star. PyOTE found an event of 0.3s with a flat bottom near predicted duration 0.38, with a D at 05:50:35, near predicted 05:50:34.
